Time to cross Canada (once again)
Now that we've loaded the Svartpilen packed our sports equipment, clothes and recovery gear we're ready to hit the road! Time to race across Canada in 7 days to pick up Thomas in Edmonton on the 29th.
We've done quite a few cross Canada trips in the past years, the notable one was in 2019 in our DIY sprinter conversion so for this trip we've decided to sprint across Canada to start in Edmonton and head north.
A few Pics from our 2019 trip - hiking in Banff national park - Okanagan Valley for some wine tasting & Glacier National Park in Montana.
Two Beavers throw a wrench in our plans
Edmonton to Dawson Creek up to summit Lake which is just magnificent, we get to Toad River and we learn talking with a trucker that the road is closed a few hundred km's ahead, not sure what to do, so... Took a few hours to troubleshoot some weird noises coming from below (turns out the hangar bering protector broke off and was chewing into the rubber support).
Roadside repair done! After a discussing our options we decide not to turn back and drive 35 hours to bypass the road washout and wait it out for a couple of days at Muncho Lake.
Yukon on the Horizon
We'll be back soon!
