You often hear people say time flies and then you wake up one morning, take a long look in the mirror and BAM you're 50 years old. My life in a nutshell, I spent the last 25 years raising my 2 beautiful children and building my real estate business. Basically stuck in a whirlwind of the perpetual rat race. So after two years of setting the wheels in motion (selling off a large chunk of my business and convincing my GF) the dream is becoming reality : Travel the world, discover new cultures, make new friends and see awesome things.
The original plan was initiated 18 years ago after watching "Long Way Round" with Ewan Mc Gregor & Charlie Boorman. The idea was to travel light and by motorcycle but now I'm older, a little wiser and I enjoy a little comfort, plus I want to travel with my own bathroom... So an expedition truck it is.

After quite a bit of research and discussions with different builders, Action Mobil, Unicat, Krug, Bliss, Eatrhroamer (They're all awesome). The choice was to go with a North American Builder that has a truck with a cabover design, narrowing the choice to one builder : Global Expedition Vehicles : globalxvehicles.com So I bought a brand spankin' new Patagonia model.
Here she is: "Le Monstre" during the build... almost done, just missing a new custom colour and a few knickknacks
Our travel plans for 2022 will begin in June through the North West Territories in Canada, Alaska and then slowly head-down the west coast in the fall to Arizona where will will spend our Christmas holidays with our family. After that it's Baja Mexico for the winter and then head south!
